Hurrah Jesus

I just wanted to give Jesus a cheer, um, it's been an intense week. I've been attending a Buddhist Ministries Seminar and getting caught up on my own personal issues instead of learning from those around me and around the world.

The other day I went to the mall to shop for something for work. I am doing a Sunday-school-like program once a month for my kids, most of which are Buddhist. About 40-60 students attend most are between K-2nd grades.

Back to the story, I was wandering around trying to make a decision of what I wanted to do and what did I need. I wandered through the stationary and toy section and was tired. I told myself I needed to sit down and think, so I went in search of something to sit on. I found a little stool, sat myself on it, put my head in my hands and silently said, "God help me to find it (they were like little plastic rhinestones)." When I had finished I looked up and there before me where the rhinestones.

It's simple but I felt loved in that moment.

We went to our secret place with God today. It was fun to see the kids light up and want to share the colors, sounds and pictures that God showed them were His love for them. When we ended the closed-eyes part of it, I told them to imagine that all the things God had told them were their treasures, no one could take them from them, to imagine their heart as a treasure box. The plastic rhinestones where just reminders of God's treasures.

  1. Thanks, for sharing that, Renee. That is so yummy. I reminds me of Gary telling us that the small things to God are not small things. Whether they are things He is calling us to do or ways He is blessing us. Bless you abundantly!!
